Spring began in 2011 as Teespring, founded by Walker Williams and Evan Stites-Clayton while they were students at Brown University. What started as a quick solution to sell commemorative t-shirts for a local business evolved into a new model for custom apparel: collecting orders before production to eliminate upfront costs.
The idea quickly gained traction, and Teespring expanded to allow anyone to create and sell custom products online without inventory risk.
In February 2021, Teespring rebranded as Spring. Today, Spring empowers creators to design products, sell globally, and build their businesses without the traditional overhead associated with launching an online store.
